In the Andes of Peru, Christianity has melted with practices from ancient cultures, to give birth to Andean Cosmovision, which is still being practiced today.

His powers also enable him to locate thieves and other causes of uneasiness in the community.
LAIK´A, a shaman with negative power from bad spirits. He is able to cause business failure, the destruction of homes, and even death. The Laik’a specialize in preparing dangerous concoctions but are also experts in preparing love charms.
PAMPAMISAYOC, a rural shaman with smaller powers.
He prepares offerings for fertility that are dedicated to the Mother Earth; they are known as the guardians of the rivers in their area. |

ERITROXYLON are the leaves of the coca plant, well known for more than 3,000 years in the Andes. The use of these leaves as an anesthetic in pre-Columbian surgery and their magic and religious value have been documented by the archaeology. A “Waca” is a sacred site for occult ceremonies.
In Cuzco there are a variety of important “wacas”:
