| Crossing the Lake District from Chile to Argentina (6D/5N) |
The tour starts Santiago, transfers to a hotel 3-star (hotels can be upgraded at an additional cost). Next day, a full day tour to Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. Third day, a guided city tour.
The fourth day, transfer to the airport for your flight to Puerto Montt (air ticket not included). Transfer to an hotel in Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas.

The fifth day, starts the lake crossing, 2 days / 1 night taking the road bordering Llanquihue lake to the Petrohue Falls, on time to board the catamaran which sails across the Todos los Santos lake. Arrival in Peulla.
Dinner and overnight. Last day, the lake crossing continues, via catamaran - bus, from Peulla crossing Lake Frias to Puerto Pañuelo -if you are staying at Hotel Llao Llao you will disembark here- other wise you will continue to Bariloche.
Transfer to your hotel in Bariloche (not included). Departure daily except Wednesday. Please ask for hotels and excursions in Bariloche. |

Tour starts with two nights in first-class hotel in Santiago. Tour to the beautiful seaside resort of Viña del Mar, a tour of Santiago's famous sights and transfers to and from the airport.
Then two nights in Puerto Montt. Transfers and city tour of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas. Then travel by bus along the shores of Lake Llanquihue to Vicente Perez Rosales Natural Park for an overnight stay, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and a visit to Petrohue Falls where volcanic rocks are bathed in emerald colored waterfalls. |

Then, by catamaran, across the Todos los Santos Lake, also known as the Emerald Lake, for its deep green color, overlooked by the gargantuan splendor of the mighty Osorno and Chalcabuco volcanoes. Arrival in Peulla where you might spend the night. Dinner.
The next day, you will travel by bus at an altitude of 3,000 ft. to Puerto Frias (Argentina) in Nahuel Huapi National Park. Then again by catamaran over lake Frias to Puerto Pañuelo and the famous ski resort of Bariloche.
This part of the tour takes you through a dense larch forest, impressive by both its sheer size and by its 1,000 year old trees. Then two night accommodation at a first class hotel in Bariloche, plus a city tour.
Or for an additional charge, stay at the famous 5 star Llao Llao Hotel, overlooking the lake.
The tour wraps up with 2 nights in Buenos Aires at a first class hotel, city tour and transfer in/out. Daily departures except Wednesday. Airfare not included. |
