Tour leaves from Punta Arenas on Saturdays and passes through the Straits of Magellan on this journey of adventure that relives the mythical route followed by the daring sailors of the 16th. century -Hernando de Magallanes, who cut through these seas for the first time; Sir Francis Drake, who discover a safer route; and the distressed Captain Sarmiento de Gamboa.
During the trip, you will visit Puerto Williams in Isla Navarino, Tierra del Fuego, along with its fjords and channels, snowy summits and scattered glaciers. You will see the amazing Patagonia where man has barely survived struggling against the violence of the wild.

Tour starts at Puerto Montt, then to Gulf of Reloncavi and to Laguna San Rafael in the isthmus of the Taito Peninsula. Itinerary covers the coasts of the provinces of Llanquihue, Chiloe and Aysen where the South American continent begins to break up in islands.

Enjoy the wonders of Patagonia on our special hotel and cruise combination.
Tour departs by flight from Puerto Montt to Coyhaique Balmaceda, where you will be transferred by road to board the catamaran Patagonia Express en route to the heart of the Patagonia and the elegant Termas de Puyuhuapi Resort.
The resort features gourmet restaurants, game room, thermal water pools, yachts, motor boats, canoes, wind surfing, kayaks, fishing, trekking and sea excursions.
The tour includes two full day excursions aboard the Patagonia Express: one excursion takes you to visit the San Rafael Lagoon with its massive icebergs, and to watch the huge chunks of ice breaking off the colorful San Rafael Glacier.
The second excursion takes you to visit the remarkable Aysen Area. You will also be able to enjoy the variety of activities available at the resort during your stay.

Magallanes y la Antártica Chilena Region is the southernmost, largest and second least populated region of Chile.
This region has many globally known places and geographical accidents like Torres del Paine, Cape Horn, Tierra del Fuego island, and the Strait of Magellan. It also includes the Antarctic territory claimed by Chile. The low population and vastness makes this region a good place for many native animal and plant species. It is relatively easy to find penguins, ñandus, guanacos, condors, and other animals in their natural environment. The main economic activities are bovine farming, oil extraction and tourism.
