After your arrival in Calama, you will be transferred to San Pedro de Atacama, a typical town from the area, frozen in time -19th century- and gateway to fabulous tours of precolumbian adventure.
Choose from many tours including trekking in the Cordillera de la Sal, horseback ridding in the Valley of Catarpe and along the pathways of Ayllus and biking in Quebrada del Diablo and San Pedro Canyon.
Or visit the Tatio Geysers in a full-day tour that will take you up 12,000 ft. to see powerful jets of stream rising from blowholes and ponds of steaming water encrusted with colorful mineral deposits. Other tours include visits to Moon Valley, Museum of Father La Paige, Chiu Chiu Green Lagoon, Etnotour and Chuquicanata, the world's largest open-pit copper mine, exploited since the inca's days.
